Experience

Woods Earthmoving and Plant Hire Pty Ltd was established in 1989, building on a family connection to earthmoving that spans three generations. Director Eddy Woods followed his father and grandfather into the industry and has worked continuously across the earthmoving and timber sectors since 1980. Over more than three decades, the business has developed from this practical foundation into a respected contractor supporting commercial, industrial and government projects throughout Victoria.

That heritage continues to shape how we approach every project, combining grounded industry knowledge with specialised equipment and experienced operators to deliver safe, efficient outcomes across varied and demanding environments.

Eddy and the crew did a fantastic job for us several years back. We had to dig a stormwater trench in an extremely difficult steep location in Mount Martha, and we could find zero people able to do it, so we were in a fix. That amazing spider excavator and experienced operator did it so easily, working in with our stormwater plumber.
