Complete Project Capabilities

Woods Earthmoving and Plant Hire Pty Ltd delivers civil earthworks, vegetation management and specialised land services for commercial, industrial and government projects throughout Victoria. Since 1989, our team has supported clients across projects of varying scale, combining experienced operators with a modern, dependable fleet. From site preparation and road construction through to hazardous tree removal and natural disaster recovery, each service is planned around the conditions, access requirements and intended outcome of the site.
This broad capability allows clients to engage one experienced contractor for practical, coordinated solutions that keep work progressing safely and efficiently.

Planned For
Better Outcomes

Every project begins with a clear understanding of the required scope, followed by a site assessment, detailed quotation and careful planning. From there, we select the appropriate equipment, schedule the work and complete mandatory safety checks before operations begin. Experienced operators then carry out the work while maintaining quality control and providing progress updates throughout delivery.
By combining practical knowledge with environmental responsibility, regulatory compliance and reliable machinery, we can respond to challenging terrain, restricted access and large-scale works with confidence. The result is a structured service experience focused on safety, efficiency and an outcome aligned with the agreed project requirements.

Do You Offer Wet Hire?
Woods Earthmoving and Plant Hire provides wet hire only. This means our machinery is supplied with an experienced operator who understands the equipment and can complete the agreed work safely and efficiently. Our team can also help identify suitable machinery for the site, terrain and project requirements before the quotation is prepared and approved.
We have a fleet of 35 machines, including Spider excavators, traditional excavators, dedicated forestry mulchers, skid steers, dozers, tractors and tip trucks. We select the most suitable equipment based on your project’s scope, site access and ground conditions. Before work begins, our team will discuss your requirements and recommend the best machinery for the job.
Yes. We begin by understanding your project requirements before assessing the site and preparing a detailed quotation. This process helps us select the correct equipment and methodology for the work. Once the quotation is accepted, we schedule the project, organise mobilisation and complete the required pre-start and safety procedures before operations begin.
Council approval or permits may be required depending on the project. Where approvals apply, our team is happy to work with you to help organise the requirements. The site and proposed scope are reviewed before work begins so the project can be planned around relevant local regulations, access conditions and safety considerations
